  We had a wonderful 3 night stay in our villa. It felt very Covid safe with lots of windows to open and air out the unit, a private stairwell, and a deck and BBQ for our own personal use. We had a large vehicle which we needed to park off-site (the street the unit is located is very narrow and parking at the villa is tight) but we were more than happy parking for the duration of our trip. We could walk everywhere! The grocery store, restaurants, shops, and most importantly, the beach! Both the queen bed and the sofa sleeper were very comfortable for our family, and our dog was able to join on the trip as well! Do note, a pet cleaning fee was not included in the original reservation which was a surprise since our dog was included in the reservation. Also note, the kitchen supplies are sparse, but fine for a few days! Overall a wonderful stay in a lovely location with a view!

  We were incredibly happy with our stay. We were as close to the wedding venue as we could be yet we had an ocean view for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening on our rooftop patio. Direct beach access and walking distance to breakfast, lunch and dinner at numerous restaurants. We were very happy!

  The view from the private patio was beautiful. We only did a 1 night stay. They were very busy and the unit wasn't finished being cleaned when we arrived at 4 PM. We waited about 35 additional minutes in the designated parking area to get in. On the plus side, it was pet friendly, which we needed. The location and community patio space is excellent with spectacular ocean views. The beach below is great for swimming and activities and the property is within walking distance of all Laguna has to offer. I think the cleaning of the unit was rushed based on the high level of occupancy. Indoor areas were fine, the private patio space needed a good wipe down so we did it ourselves. The house-keeping did their best with the rush. It was a pleasant set up. Staying longer could result in a more accurate review as we got into the Teatro unit after 4:30 PM and had to depart around 8:30 AM. I would consider staying here again for a longer period of time and updating this information. Check-in was fine but ask how or where so you aren't confused since our check-in was at the Holiday Inn front desk which is only a few minute walk away.

  Beautiful and quiet property right next to the beach. Such a relaxing stay. Would definitely come again. Only con was a few of the blinds in our room needed repair and wouldn’t open all the way.

  We so enjoyed our stay at Villa Teatro. The location is ideal, walking distance to the restaurants, shops and sand. Being upstairs with it's own patio area, the unit was perfect for us with sunset viewing, bbqing and sunbathing. Villa was modern, clean and stocked with everything needed for our weekend stay.   My Family and I have stayed at The Retreat in Laguna many times and each time is an amazing experience. All staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Julio. Julio goes above and beyond! Julio has helped us a couple times and aside from being very professional and helpful, he ugrades our room. when available at a reasonable rate. This is the only place I stay at when visiting Laguna Beach. I highly recommend it!

  We stayed in Villa 2 which had its own deck overlooking the ocean. Our view was obstructed by the villas in front, but we could see sunset from the deck in February. Other months may have to go to the communal deck to see the sunset. Place was clean, spacious and they had all the things you needed to fix meals. I would stay there again, although move to Villas 5-8 for a better view.

  This is our fifth year staying at The Retreat and we've already booked next year. The location, and especially our unit are superb; the staff friendly and helpful. The property furnishings have been upgraded, however there are a few minor maintenance issues to be addressed (replace blind cords and one missing screen.)
